The OMiLAB@Bielefeld University of Applied Sciences and Arts (HSBI) is designed as a blended learning environment that supports open and collaborative learning and teaching formats, particularly in the field of organizational development and innovation management.
The domain which the Lab focuses on the area of innovative organizational transformation towards 5.0. The aim is to support the transition from an understanding of Industry 4.0 to a complementary understanding of Organization 5.0 – which emphasizes the three central pillars of ecology, resilience, and human centricity.
The OMiLAB node in Bielefeld focuses therefore on case studies from the field of organizational transformation in industrial settings and uses agile methods to create and model dynamic scenarios in a co-creative way between workshop participants and researchers. Thematically, there is stronger emphasis on the area of human centricity (for example 5.0 culture or digital leadership), to foster the understanding that the concept of Organization 5.0 complements the approach of 4.0.
